KJV : And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

BNV : তিনি আসার সঙ্গে দেখা করে বললেন, “আসা আর যিহূদা ও বিন্যামীনের সমস্ত লোকরা তোমরা শোনো! তোমরা যদি প্রভুকে অনুসরণ করো তিনি তোমাদের সহায় থাকবেন| তোমরা যদি সত্যিই তাঁকে পেতে চাও, তোমরা তাঁকে পাবে| কিন্তু, তোমরা যদি তাঁকে পরিত্যাগ করো, তিনিও তোমাদের পরিত্যাগ করবেন|
KJV : And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD [is] with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
YLT : and he goeth out before Asa, and saith to him, `Hear, me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; Jehovah [is] with you -- in your being with Him, and if ye seek Him, He is found of you, and if ye forsake Him, He forsaketh you;

ERVEN : Azariah went to meet Asa and said, "Listen to me Asa, and all you people of Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you look for the Lord, you will find him. But if you leave him, he will leave you.

BNV : দীর্ঘকাল ইস্রায়েলে কোনো প্রকৃত ঈশ্বর, কোনো শিক্ষক, যাজক বা বিধি ছিল না|
KJV : Now for a long season Israel [hath been] without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

BNV : কিন্তু যখন ইস্রায়েলীয়রা সঙ্কটের সন্মুখীন হল, তারা আবার প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের দিকে মুখ ফিরিযে তাকালো| তারা তাঁকে খুঁজলো এবং তিনি তাদের তাকে খুঁজতে দিলেন|
KJV : But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
YLT : and it turneth back in its distress unto Jehovah, God of Israel, and they seek Him, and He is found of them,

BNV : সেই সমযে, সমস্ত জাতিগুলোর মধ্যে একটি বিরাট অশান্তি চলছিল| যে কোন একজন ব্যক্তির পক্ষে নিরাপদে চলাফেরা করা প্রায অসম্ভব ছিল|
KJV : And in those times [there was] no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations [were] upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

BNV : জাতিগুলি অপর জাতির সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করেছিল, এবং শহরগুলি অন্য শহরগুলির সঙ্গে লড়াই করছিল, যার ফলে সকলেই এক নিদারুণ তাণ্ডবের মধ্যে ছিল, কারণ ঈশ্বর সমস্ত রকম অশান্তি দিয়ে তাদের ওপর আঘাত হেনেছিলেন|
KJV : And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
YLT : and they have been beaten down, nation by nation, and city by city, for God hath troubled them with every adversity;

ERVEN : One nation would destroy another nation and one city would destroy another city. This was happening because God gave them all kinds of trouble.

BNV : কিন্তু শোনো আসা, তুমি আর যিহূদা ও বিন্যামীনের লোকেরা সবরকম পরিস্থিতিতেই দৃঢ় থেকো| কখনও কোনো দুর্বলতা প্রকাশ করো না| তোমাদের এই দৃঢ় থাকার উপযুক্ত প্রতিদান তোমরা নিশ্চয়ই পাবে|”
KJV : Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
YLT : and ye, be ye strong, and let not your hands be feeble, for there is a reward for your work.`
RV : But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack: for your work shall be rewarded.

BNV : আসা ওবেদের এইসব কথা শুনে খুবই অনুপ্রাণিত বোধ করলেন| তিনি যিহূদার ও বিন্যামীনের সমগ্র অঞ্চল থেকে ও তাঁর দখল করা ইফ্রয়িমের পার্বত্য অঞ্চলের সমস্ত শহরগুলি থেকে যাবতীয় ঘৃণ্য মূর্ত্তিগুলি সরিয়ে দিলেন| প্রভুর মন্দিরের দালানের সামনের প্রভুর বেদীটিও তিনি মেরামত্‌ করলেন|
KJV : And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that [was] before the porch of the LORD.
YLT : And at Asa`s hearing these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he hath strengthened himself, and doth cause the abominations to pass away out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities that he hath captured from the hill-country of Ephraim, and reneweth the altar of Jehovah that [is] before the porch of Jehovah,
RV : And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
RSV : When Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had taken in the hill country of Ephraim, and he repaired the altar of the LORD that was in front of the vestibule of the house of the LORD.
ASV : And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Jehovah, that was before the porch of Jehovah.
ESV : As soon as Asa heard these words, the prophecy of Azariah the son of Oded, he took courage and put away the detestable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities that he had taken in the hill country of Ephraim, and he repaired the altar of the LORD that was in front of the vestibule of the house of the LORD.
ERVEN : Asa felt encouraged when he heard these words and the message from Obed the prophet. Then he removed the hated idols from the whole area of Judah and Benjamin. He also removed the hated idols from the towns he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. And he repaired the Lord's altar that was in front of the porch of the Lord's Temple.

BNV : এরপর, আসা যিহূদা ও বিন্যামীনের সমস্ত লোককে ও ইফ্রয়িম, মনঃশি ও শিমিযোন পরিবারগোষ্ঠী যারা ইস্রাযেল ত্যাগ করে যিহূদায় বাস করতে গিয়েছিলেন তাদের সবাইকে এক জায়গায় জড়ো করলেন| তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই প্রভুকে আসার পক্ষ নিতে দেখেই ইস্রাযেল ত্যাগ করে গিয়েছিল|
KJV : And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God [was] with him.
YLT : and gathereth all Judah and Benjamin, and the sojourners with them out of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and out of Simeon -- for they have fallen unto him from Israel in abundance, in their seeing that Jehovah his God [is] with him.

ERVEN : Then Asa gathered all the people from Judah and Benjamin and the people from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had moved from the country of Israel to live in the country of Judah. A great many of these people came to Judah because they saw that the Lord, Asa's God, was with him.

BNV : আসা আর এই সমস্ত লোকরা তাঁর রাজত্বের 15 তম বছরের তৃতীয় মাসে জেরুশালেমে একত্রিত হল|
KJV : So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

BNV : সেই সময় তারা তাদের শএুদের কাছ থেকে আনীত লুট দ্রব্য থেকে প্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে 700 ষাঁড় এবং 7,000 মেষ ও ছাগল উত্সর্গ করলেন|
KJV : And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil [which] they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
YLT : and sacrifice to Jehovah on that day from the spoil they have brought in -- oxen seven hundred, and sheep seven thousand,

ERVEN : At that time they sacrificed 700 bulls and 7000 sheep and goats to the Lord. Asa's army had taken the animals and other valuable things from their enemies.

BNV : সেই সমযে তাঁরা সর্বান্তঃকরণে প্রভু তাঁদের পূর্বপুরুষের ঈশ্বরের সেবা করবেন বলে তাঁদের নিজেদের মধ্যে একটি চুক্তি করলেন|
KJV : And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

BNV : ঠিক হল যে ব্যক্তি প্রভু ঈশ্বরের সেবা করতে প্রতিবাদ করবে তা সে য়তো গণ্যমান্য হোক বা সাধারণ কেউ হোক তাকে মৃত্যুদণ্ড দেওয়া হবে| এমনকি মহিলা হলেও তাকে মার্জনা করা হবে না|
KJV : That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
YLT : and every one who doth not seek for Jehovah, God of Israel, is put to death, from small unto great, from man unto woman.

ERVEN : Anyone who refused to serve the Lord God was to be killed. It did not matter if that person was important or not or if that person was a man or woman.

BNV : তারপর আসা ও সবাই মিলে সমস্বরে প্রভুর সামনে শপথ করলো এবং শিঙা ও কাড়া-নাকাড়া বাজালো|
KJV : And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
YLT : And they swear to Jehovah with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets,

ERVEN : Then Asa and the people made an oath to the Lord. They shouted it out loudly and blew their trumpets and rams' horns.

BNV : অতএব যিহূদার সমস্ত লোক আনন্দ করল কারণ তারা সর্বান্তঃকরণে একটি শপথ নিল, সম্পূর্ণ বাসনা নিয়ে তাঁর অনুসরণ করেছিল এবং তাঁকে খুঁজে পেয়েছিল| তাই প্রভু তাদের সারা দেশে শান্তি দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
YLT : and rejoice do all Judah concerning the oath, for with all their heart they have sworn, and with all their good-will they have sought Him, and He is found of them, and Jehovah giveth rest to them round about.

ERVEN : All the people of Judah were happy about the oath, because they had promised with all their heart. They followed God with all their heart. They looked for God and found him, so the Lord gave them peace in all the country.

BNV : রাজা আসা তাঁর মা মাখাকে রাণীর পদ থেকে অপসারণ করেছিলেন যেহেতু তিনি আশেরা মূর্ত্তির জন্য পূজার বস্তু হিসাবে ভয়ঙ্কর খুঁটিগুলোর একটা নিজে পুঁতেছিলেন| তিনি সেই খুঁটিটা উপড়ে ফেলে টুকরো টুকরো করে ভেঙ্গে কিদ্রোণ নদীতে পুড়িয়ে ছাই করে দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And also [concerning] Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from [being] queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped [it,] and burnt [it] at the brook Kidron.
YLT : And also Maachah, mother of Asa the king -- he hath removed her from [being] mistress, in that she hath made for a shrine a horrible thing, and Asa cutteth down her horrible thing, and beateth [it] small, and burneth [it] by the brook Kidron:
RV : And also Maacah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
RSV : Even Maacah, his mother, King Asa removed from being queen mother because she had made an abominable image for Asherah. Asa cut down her image, crushed it, and burned it at the brook Kidron.
ASV : And also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
ESV : Even Maacah, his mother, King Asa removed from being queen mother because she had made a detestable image for Asherah. Asa cut down her image, crushed it, and burned it at the brook Kidron.
ERVEN : King Asa also removed Maacah, his mother, from being queen mother. He did this because she had set up one of those awful poles to honor the goddess Asherah. Asa cut down that Asherah pole, smashed it into small pieces, and burned the pieces in the Kidron Valley.

BNV : যিহূদা থেকে উঁচু বেদীগুলো সরানো না হলেও আসা আজীবন সমস্ত অন্তঃকরণ দিয়ে প্রভুকে অনুসরণ করেছিলেন|
KJV : But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
YLT : yet the high places have not turned aside from Israel; only, the heart of Asa hath been perfect all his days.

BNV : এছাড়াও আসা ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরে তাঁর ও তাঁর পিতার পক্ষ থেকে বহু মূল্যবান সোনা ও রূপোর সামগ্রী দান করেছিলেন|
KJV : And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
YLT : And he bringeth in the sanctified things of his father, and his own sanctified things, to the house of God, silver, and gold, and vessels.

ERVEN : Asa and his father had given some special gifts to God. Asa put these gifts of gold, silver, and other things into the Temple.

BNV : আসার রাজত্বের 35 বছর পর্য়ন্ত কোনো যুদ্ধ হয় নি|
KJV : And there was no [more] war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
YLT : And war hath not been till the thirty and fifth year of the reign of Asa.
